When working on math with toddlers, it’s always helpful to use manipulatives and toys to make math fun. For this activity, I asked the child to tell me the values of numbers. Then we made a simple arithmetic problem. The child had to put the right number of circles under each number, then add up the amount of circles and tell me the answer to the problem. We then find the right number for the answer and put it in the right place. I was using a wooden number set, similar to this one.
