Herb butter is a customizable, easily made sandwich spread. If you put it on a piece of bread, you instantaneously get more flavor and more nutrition. Just blend the herbs with the plain butter, put the resulting mixture onto a piece of parchment paper, roll and refrigerate or freeze.

You can experiment with the herbs you add to your herb butter. You can add just onion shoots, to get onion butter, or you can add cayenne pepper and basil, to create something more exotic. My favorite herb butter involve the mixture of dill and onion shoots. I also like parsley butter.
