Sensory tubs are a great way to occupy toddlers and preschoolers. Basic Sorting Sensory Tub keeps the children engaged, occupied and learning early math and measuring skills. It is quite amazing to watch how a pile of grain and some spoons can mesmerize a child!

Take two bowls. Put corn, beans, peas or any grain in one, and keep the other one empty. Add measuring spoons and watch your child pour, empty out and measure. Larger grains, corn and beans mean less mess. If your child puts everything in their mouth, this tub is not right for them. The general recommendation is to wait until three years old, but I have a one year old, who happily plays with this sorting tub, as he rarely puts things in his mouth.
