Humble toothpicks can be used as an excellent creative tool. As the children learn how to build, using toothpicks, they learn early geometry and develop spatial intelligence. They also think creatively.

You can build in a one D or in a 3 D manner. For the latter, give the kids some marshmallows and some toothpicks and watch them create buildings and other fun objects.

For the one dimensional picture, allow the kids to create what they want on the table. It can be a house, a dog, a truck – or anything they desire, as long as it is made exclusively with toothpicks. My children wanted to play this game for hours!
