We live in the zone of totality, so solar eclipse is on everyone’s mind these days. As the kids are getting excited to watch the eclipse, try this simple eclipse craft. All you need is black construction paper and some chalk. You also need a yogurt lid or any other small round object.

Place the round object on the black construction paper. Holding the object with the non-dominant hand, draw a circle around it, using a dominant hand and a piece of chalk. You can use multiple colors of chalk. Remove the circular object. Using fingers, smudge the chalk outwards, creating the “corona” of the “sun.”
