Toddlers, preschoolers and older children love sorting. Sorting helps categorize things and arrange them in logical order which, in turn, helps with early math skills. Easter Sorting Tub helps with color recognition, too. And it makes use of all of these plastic eggs you got form the Easter hunt.

Easter Sorting Tub

You need an egg carton, some crayons or markers, plastic eggs and pom poms, as well as some tongs. Put the eggs into one pile and the pom poms in another pile. Draw inside each opening of the egg carton with a different crayon or marker, so that each one is a different color. Give the child some and watch them sort the pompoms and the eggs. They like to put the pom poms inside the eggs and then the eggs inside the carton.
