My toddler adores The Very Hungry Caterpillar book and I decided to make this book into an educational science project for all the kids. So, we made a Life Cycle of a Butterfly Play Dough Board.

Using different colors of play dough, the kids made the eggs, the caterpillar, the cocoon on a branch and finally my daughter made a beautiful butterfly. We labeled everything on a thick piece of watercolor paper and our Life Cycle of a Butterfly Play Dough Board was complete.
