Banana Play Dough smells amazing. It is moldable; it’s fun to play with  and the kids sniff it all the time! It is easily made, too.

Banana-Scented Play Dough

  • 1 3/4 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 3 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1-2 teaspoons banana extract
  • Yellow food color

Combine everything, but the extract and the color in a pot.

Gradually heat the pot up, until the dough forms a ball in the center of the pot.

Take the play dough out and allow it to get cool enough to handle.

Knead well, adding the extract and a bit of the yellow color. If the dough is too sticky, add a tablespoon or more of flour.

Separate the dough into tow balls. Leave one ball as is and add more yellow color to the second ball ( you will use this ball to make banana peel.)
