We were studying the wind at our homeschool’s science class. To better understand how does the wind work, we did this wind experiment, using some straws and some feathers. The kids had to stick the feather into the straw and blow into the straw. If they wanted, they could also use scissors to cut the straw or the feather. The children tried to blow in all directions, to see which way would the feather fly the farthest. They tried this experiment lying down and they tried it standing on a chair. The kids learned about the wind and had fun, too.
