Crocheting chunky leg warmers is a beautiful, yet quick project. These chunky leg warmers make a great gift and a nice accessory to a ballet class. They are also very warm and look amazing with boots. This project can also work as a child’s first crochet project, as little hands are better off working with chunky yarn and seeing the results of their work quickly.

I used less than 1 skein of Cascade Magnum Paints yarn and 11.50 mm crochet hook.

For a 1-4 year old, chain 11, connect into a loop with slip stitch. Crochet in the round, using single crochet stitch, until you reach the desired length. Bind off.

For 4-8 year old – chain 15. For 8-13 year old, chain 19 and for 14 to adult chain 22. Continue the same way as above.

Try these knit leg warmers, too.
