Kitchen Towel with Leaf Prints could be a wonderful handmade gift, or a DIY fall craft to try with or without the kids. The results are beautiful and the process is easy. This project is also very inexpensive. You can add leaf prints to T shirts, canvas bags, tablecloth or other items.
Kitchen Towel with Leaf Prints
You need: fabric paints or acrylic paints in “fall” colors. Paintbrush, parchment paper, white flour sack kitchen towel, iron, fall leaves.
Paint the pretty side of the leaf. You can paint it half yellow and half orange, for example, or you can mix all the colors to make the leaf brown. Make sure to not put the paint on too thickly.
Stamp the leaf on top of the towel. Place parchment paper on top and lightly press on the leaf. Remove the leaf and the paper to reveal the art. Repeat.
When all the paint is dry, iron the towel to set the paint job.
