Learn to Spell with Moveable Alphabet

Spelling is an important skill, but most preschoolers and kindergartners cannot write perfect sentences just yet. Montessori’s movable alphabet is a great tool to get them there. You can purchase this alphabet or you can download  it to make yourself.

montessori movable alphabet workTo first start spelling, we worked on spelling out simple words, such as “cat” or “dog.” Then, we moved on to copying sentences and finally we moved on to copying entire books. Dr. Seuss works great for this type of work. Watching your child work with movable alphabet is incredible: you can see how their spelling speed increases right before your eyes!
