I love this simple homemade raw candy! Usually, once the candy is made, I reserve about a quarter of the batch for kids and then add the spices to the remaining mixture. I use about two pinches of cayenne pepper and about 2 tsp. of cinnamon. I have also tried adding some raw cocoa powder and cayenne, foregoing the cinnamon and the results were quite sublime. Dipping the ready candy into a bowl with some melted chocolate and cooling the candy later provides for yummy and memorable results, too!

I love this simple homemade raw candy! Usually, once the candy is made, I reserve about a quarter of the batch for kids and then add …
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup dried dates pitted
- 1 cup raw cashews
- A LOT cinnamon
- A LOT cayenne pepper
- In large bowl, mash dry fruits with potato masher. If mashed dates seem too dry, add a bit of hot water to moisten them. Crush mixed soft nuts and mix into the mashed dates. Add the spices. Roll the date/nut mix into balls.
